Description
Sawmill Cottage is probably dated to the 1820s and 1830s. It is a picturesque, single-storey, three-bay cottage built in a Gothic style. The building is constructed of whin rubble, including the arches, with regularly-spaced ornamental projecting blocks. The south elevation features a central boarded door and sash windows from which the astragal bars have been removed. Single windows have been inserted into each flank. A central axial stack has paired square flues connected by a linking cornice. The roof is piended and covered in slate. A full-length rear addition exists. The cottage is almost identical in appearance to Crunzierton. It is located near St Ann's Village.
