Description
This early 19th century building at 2-4 Castle Street in Kirkcudbright is a two-storey house with a basement. It features two bays facing Castle Street and two bays facing Castle Gardens. The structure is made of rubble with painted margins and rusticated quoins at the corners. On the Castle Street side, there is a door on the left with a lozenge fanlight, a shared pend with No 4, one blocked door in the center, and one window to the right above a glazed basement light. The first floor has two windows, and there are two windows on each floor facing Castle Gardens, all with 12-pane glazing. The roof is slate and has a piended design on the right side, along with two modern dormers.
