7 Stead's Place, Edinburgh

7 Stead's Place is a mid-18th century house that was extensively remodeled in the early 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure featuring Tudor details. The front is rendered with faint lines to resemble ashlar, while the sides are harled. There is a base course and deep hoodmoulds over the upper half of all windows.

On the northeast (front) elevation, there is a low doorway at the center, which has a timber architrave and an arched hoodmould. The door is flat-panelled with glazed top panes. Above the doorway, there is regular fenestration, with windows in the outer bays.

The southeast elevation is gabled and features a tall apex stack, along with a window at the gablehead. The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with purple slate, which may have been thatched in the past, and it has a stone ridge and stone skews.

The interior was not seen in 1993.
