Churchyard, The Vennel, South Queensferry

The gate piers at the Old Burial Ground on The Vennel in South Queensferry date back to the 18th century. They feature rusticated ashlar with a moulded cornice and a ball finial on the left gate pier, while only a portion of the cornice remains on the right. A modern iron gate is present.

The churchyard wall is primarily from the later 17th century and is constructed mainly of rubble. The inner wall facing The Vennel is made of droved ashlar, with the base course having been renovated in modern times.

Additionally, there are four bee-boles attached to the north wall.

The burial ground contains notable examples of tombstones from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
