37 Bellfield Street, Edinburgh

37 Bellfield Street is an early 19th-century, two-storey terraced house with an attic, featuring three bays. The exterior is made of squared and snecked sandstone with tooled ashlar dressings. There is a cill course at the first floor, and the cornice is overstepped by the cornice of the adjacent house at No 35. A blocking course is present, along with a downpipe recess on the right side of the front elevation.

On the northwest (principal) elevation, there are windows in each floor of the central and right bays. To the left, there is a pilastered and corniced doorpiece with a flushed panel door and a radial fanlight above it, along with a window at the first floor above the door.

The southeast (rear) elevation features an extension noted on Sutter's map, located at the left bay. The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows and a grey slate roof, which includes a piended dormer situated between the central and right bays. The end and mutual stacks are rendered.

The interior was not seen in 1994. The boundary walls are constructed of rubble with coping.
