Description
13A George Street in Edinburgh is an early 19th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It is a three-storey and attic former tenement with five bays, constructed from painted droved sandstone ashlar and featuring a mansard roof.
On the south elevation, there are segmental-headed windows at the ground level, with a door positioned between the outer right bays. The upper floors have recessed windows with similar aprons. The building has a raised eaves course with dormers above each bay.
The north elevation has six bays and is made of coursed rubble, with a slapping at the ground level to the right. It also features raised eaves and dormers similar to the south elevation.
The building has modern metal and timber glazing and a mansard roof covered with grey slates, along with the remains of an ashlar stack on the west side.
The interior was not seen in 1995.
