11, 13, and 15 Thistle Street in Edinburgh is a mid-19th century building that has been refurbished and extended around 1980. It is a regular four-storey and basement structure with 18 bays, originally serving as a warehouse and printing works, featuring a modern extension to the east. The exterior is made of stugged coursed cream sandstone, with a base course and a doorpiece that has a massive consoled cornice located in the third bay from the right, along with a wrought-iron bracket. There is a band course, which was formerly the eaves, above the second floor, and a corresponding third floor that was added later. The rear elevation is similar and includes stair windows at the eastern end, with six garages at the western end.

The building has timber sash and case 12-pane windows and is topped with grey slates. Inside, the western end is fireproof, featuring brick vaults supported by cast-iron columns, with cross vaults in the basement. The interior has been thoroughly modernised and is now united with the extension.
