Description

1871, Edinburgh Co-operative Building Company, with late 19th century bar front. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay public house at gable end of terrace. Squared and snecked sandstone; painted timber front to public house. Continuous fascia and cornice, basecourse. Fluted timber ionic pilasters dividing bays with paired pilasters to each end. Arched doorways to outer-right and centre-left bays; 2-leaf timber panelled door to left and modern glazed door to right; leaded fanlights. Large arched windows in other bays; blind panels below. Regular fenestration to upper storeys. Hanging clock on decorative wrought-iron bracket.

Grey slates; ashlar coped skews. Apex stack with cylindrical cans. Small-pane glazing to windows of public house; 2- and 8-pane glazing to sash and case windows at upper floors.
