1 Lochend Road, Edinburgh

1 Lochend Road in Edinburgh is a terraced house built in 1826 by William Lamb. It is two stories high with three bays and features a raised basement. The front is made of droved ashlar sandstone with polished ashlar dressings, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course, along with projecting window sills.

The principal elevation has irregularly arranged bays, with an architraved doorpiece in the central bay that has a blocked rectangular fanlight above it. There is a small rectangular opening between the first and second bays at the ground floor, along with basement windows.

The northeast elevation was not visible in 1995. The main openings have 16-pane timber sash and case windows, while the small ground floor opening has a 2-pane sash and case window.

The roof is a grey slate piended style with multi-flue mutual chimney stacks made of squared and snecked rubble, featuring ashlar dressings and a cornice, along with ashlar skew copes. Stone steps lead down to the basement recess, and there is a cast-iron downpipe.

The interior was not seen in 1995. The boundary wall consists of an ashlar dwarf wall with coping and modern railings.
