3, 5, 7 Lochend Road, Leith, Edinburgh

3, 5, 7 Lochend Road is a mid-19th century, two-storey, four-bay terraced group with a raised basement. The front is finished in droved ashlar sandstone, featuring polished ashlar dressings. There is a badly eroded band course between the ground and first floors, along with an eaves cornice and a blocking course. The windows have projecting cills.

The principal elevation is symmetrical, featuring a triple doorcase at the center with pilasters and an entablature (painted), along with panelled doors and rectangular plate glass fanlights above. The building is regularly fenestrated, with basement windows and three small rooflights.

The northeast elevation was not visible in 1995. The outer right bay at the ground floor and basement has four-pane timber sash and case windows, while the first-floor bays one and two also feature these windows. The remaining windows have modern plate glass. The roof is concrete tiled with ashlar skew copes and has a rendered and coped mutual multi-flue wallhead stack. There are seven stone steps leading to the oversailing basement.

The interior was not seen in 1995. The boundary wall consists of a droved ashlar dwarf wall with coping along the street. Some original sections of railings remain between the gardens.
