Description
Earlier 19th century. 4-storey, 6 x 3-bay, corner tenement with shops at ground. Squared and coursed stugged sandstone with ashlar dressings; base course; uniform shopfronts with panelled aprons and full entablature; panels dividing framed openings; eaves course.
N (WEST PRESTON STREET) ELEVATION: 3 shops at ground; to left each with window; panelled 2-leaf doors to left shop; to right with 2 windows (door on return); tenement door to right of centre with fanlight. Regular fenestration to floors above, 3-3, with shouldered wallhead stack at centre (rendered and limed)
W (CAUSEWAYSIDE) ELEVATION: originally 2 shops at ground, now 1, with former door to centre blocked as window; windows to outer bays and door to penultimate right. 3 bays above with blank bay to left rising to shouldered wallhead stack; fenestration to centre and right.
Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows; some 4-pane to W elevation. Grey slate roof.
