2 Inveralmond Road, Inveralmond, Cramond, Edinburgh

This mid-19th century single-storey lodge has three bays and features decorative pierced timber bargeboards. There are later flat-roofed additions at the rear and side. The building is constructed from coursed yellow sandstone rubble, with polished long and short surrounds to the openings, long and short quoins, a base course, overhanging eaves, and stop-chamfered openings.

On the south elevation, the central bay contains a boarded timber door beneath a projecting gabled timber porch. This porch features detached square pilasters at the front and rear, with segmental-arched openings to the south, east, and west, and timber boarding. To the left of the entrance is a tripartite window, while a bipartite window is located to the right, both with stone mullions. There is also an early 21st-century timber glazed conservatory on the west gable.

The west side elevation displays decorative eaves beneath the gable in the outer right bay, with a single window in the outer left bay. A later flat-roofed extension is located to the left.

The lodge has timber casement windows, a graded grey slate roof, and coursed yellow sandstone ridge stacks on the east and west, which feature stone coping and circular cans. The interior was not seen in 1996.
