36 And 37 Drummond Street, Edinburgh

36 and 37 Drummond Street is a Classical tenement building dating from around 1800. It stands four storeys high with a basement and features five bays across the front and three bays on the side, positioned on a corner site. The entrance platts extend out over the basement. The upper storeys are finished in droved ashlar, with polished ashlar band courses and chamfered rustication at the ground level. There is a cill course and a cornice, with raised cills on the second storey. The entrance consists of four-panel timber doors topped with fanlights.

The building predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, although there are some blank windows present. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are wallhead stacks.

The northern and eastern street elevations feature low ashlar coping and spear-headed cast-iron railings, which also surround the entrance platts.
