Charlotte Chapel, 204 Rose Street, Edinburgh

Charlotte Chapel, located at 204 Rose Street in Edinburgh, was designed by J A Arnott and J Inch Morrison in 1908. This four-storey, five-bay chapel features a stripped Wrennaissance style. The building is constructed from polished sandstone ashlar, with harled secondary elevations. The central three bays are slightly advanced and rusticated at the ground level, featuring two voussoired doorways. Above these, there are three segmental-headed keystoned windows on the first floor, oculi on the second floor with an entablature and cornice, and three additional windows on the third floor. The flanking bays have half-sunk arched windows at ground level and square windows above, with vertically linked windows on the first and second floors, and architraved windows on the third floor.

The side elevations include single bay returns from the principal elevation, leading to massive three-bay halls at the rear. The windows are timber sash and case with multi-pane designs, while the halls feature leaded windows. The building has rendered stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
