Description
The dovecot at Bonnington House dates from the late 17th century and features a circular plan with a battered design, consisting of two stages. It is constructed from random rubble with harl-pointing and has an ashlar rat-course that divides the stages at the midpoint. On the southeast side of the upper level, there is an ashlar gabled hoodmould above a tiered arrangement of six flight holes. The ground level includes narrow doors on the east and north sides, which have timber lintels and jambs. The roof is a corbelled stone slate conical design, topped with a rounded boss finial. The interior was not seen in 1992.
