Description

The sundial, dating to circa 1890, is located within the walled garden at Old Linburn House. It features a three-stepped octagonal base supporting a cross-plan consoled pedestal. Decorative elements include grotesque heads, urns, and fruit in the angles. The octagonal head of the sundial incorporates dials, inscribed and armorial panels, and an elaborate obelisk finial embellished with swags and sculptured heads.
