87-87A West Bow, Edinburgh

87-87A West Bow in Edinburgh is a tenement block designed by George Smith in 1850. The building features four storeys and an attic on the left side, while the right side has three storeys. It has three bays and is stepped to accommodate the slope of the street. The exterior is finished in cream coursed ashlar.

There is a door to the flats on the left, and the shopfront on the right has a dentilled cornice. The shopfront includes a two-leaf glazed door flanked by windows with timber surrounds. The left side has four single windows leading to the stairwell, along with a small window in a crowstepped gabled dormer. The right side features paired windows. The eaves cornice extends over the two right bays, and there are railings leading to Victoria Terrace.

The windows are timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there is a corniced ridge stack with circular cans.
