Description
98, 100, 102 West Bow in Edinburgh is a five-storey and attic tenement building constructed between 1964 and 1968 by T Waller Marwick. It is a replica, externally, of an early 18th century building that previously occupied the site. The tenement features two gabled wallhead dormers with two windows each and shops located on the ground floor. The exterior is harled with stone margins, and the ground floor is made of squared rubble with ashlar margins. The ground floor has a cornice, and the upper levels display regular fenestration. At the rear, there are two crowstepped gables and an engaged octagonal stair tower topped with a facetted roof.
The windows are timber sash and case with 12 panes of glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the stone skews are adorned with scrolled skewputts. The building has end stacks with circular cans.
