110, 112 West Bow, Edinburgh

This building, located at 110 and 112 West Bow in Edinburgh, is a later 18th century terraced tenement block that rises five storeys with an attic and features a restaurant on the ground floor. The exterior is finished in ashlar, which is painted at the ground level. To the outer right, there is an arched pend leading to Edmonstone's Close. The building has a cill band at the first floor and projecting cills at the second, third, and fourth floors. It displays long and short quoins and a round-arched entrance in the second bay from the left, which is flanked by round-arched windows that have modern glazing. The fenestration above is regular, and there are two 3-light dormers in the attic. Inside Edmonstone's Close, there is a six-storey rubble drum staircase with timber panelled doors at the ground level (112B), along with a three-storey former warehouse to the right and earlier warehouses located to the rear. The building features 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows, a roof covered with grey slates, and corniced end stacks with circular cans.
