Description
94 and 96 West Bow is an early 18th-century tenement building that has been rebuilt on the interior by Ebenezer J MacRae in 1930. It stands four storeys high with an attic and features a four-bay design, including shops on the ground floor. The exterior is constructed of random rubble with polished margins, although the ground floor is painted. The building has a regular arrangement of windows, with four in the nepus gable that includes a blocked central flight hole. The shops have a later glazed door with a plate glass fanlight, flanked by windows that have modern glazing. To the left, there is a timber panelled door leading to the flats.
The windows are timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing. At the top, there is a corniced apex stack made of rendered material with circular cans.
