Bell's Mills, Belford Road, Edinburgh

Bell's Mills, located on Belford Road in Edinburgh, is a former granary built in 1807 that was converted into hotel accommodation in 2009 by the Burrell Company Ltd. The building is three stories tall with an attic and features a seven-bay shallow rectangular plan, positioned next to the Water of Leith. The central bay is slightly advanced and includes a triangular pediment with a decorative carved roundel panel. The exterior is constructed of coursed random rubble, with some droved ashlar quoins, cills, lintels, and rybats.

The attic has four rectangular timber dormers with piended roofs and slate hung cheeks. The windows are predominantly small pane timber sash and case. The pitched roof is covered with grey slates and has sandstone skews. The gablehead stacks are coped, and there are clay cans. The building also features cast-iron rainwater goods.
