Toll House, Sinclair Street, Helensburgh

The Toll House on Sinclair Street in Helensburgh is an early 19th-century single-storey, three-bay cottage. It is constructed from cream and pink sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring raised margins and overhanging eaves.

On the east elevation facing Sinclair Street, there is a modern half-glazed door at the center, with enlarged windows on either side. The south elevation has two widely spaced windows. The north elevation is blank.

The cottage has replacement timber sash and case windows, with 12-pane lower sashes and 8-pane upper sashes on the south elevation, and 12-pane windows on the east elevation. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, with an ashlar coped stack at the center.
