37, 39 Stevenson Street And Lamp Post, Oban

37 and 39 Stevenson Street is a mid-19th century, two-storey and attic workshop with a three-bay rectangular plan. The building features a piend roof and slate-hung dormers that break the eaves, with timber construction above the eaves. The street-facing elevation is made of grey bull-faced squared and snecked rubble, accented with stugged yellow ashlar dressings, window cills, and surrounds that are deeply chamfered and droved into arrises. The rear and side elevations are constructed of random rubble.

The west elevation facing Stevenson Street has a symmetrical facade with three bays, including two cart arches at ground level that reuse dressings. The right-hand arch contains sliding timber doors that are glazed at the top, while there is a narrow window in the center. The street elevation features 12-pane timber sash and case windows that have been converted to a pivoting type, reusing old glass and sashes. The roof is grey slated and piended, with cast-iron skylights. Additionally, there is a decorative cast-iron lamp standard mounted on the wall at the opposite side of Stevenson Street.
