6 Columshill Place, Rothesay, Bute

6 Columshill Place is a mid 19th century, two-storey house with an attic, designed in a plain classical style and forming the end of a terrace. The building was rehabilitated in 1983 and has entrances at both the front and rear. It features coursed cherry-cocked, stugged grey sandstone with polished red sandstone margins. There is a raised lintel course, stugged red rubble quoins, and stugged red rubble sandstone surrounds with projecting cills. The side of the building is finished in random rubble.

On the east elevation facing Columshill Place, there is a replacement two-leaf boarded timber door at ground level in the left bay, accompanied by a plate glass fanlight. The right bay contains a single window. At the first floor, there are single windows in both bays, and a three-light slate-hung canted dormer is offset to the right of centre. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case. The roof is made of grey slate, featuring raised skews and a coped rendered apex stack to the east, along with various circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1996.
