Description

1864 villa with single storey service wing at rear. 2-storey, 3-bay, gabled, rectangular-plan block. Ashlar-fronted with stugged, squared and snecked pink sandstone; ashlar margins and dressings. Base course

SW (MAIN) ELEVATION: door at centre ground, now masked by timber gabled porch, half-glazed vestibule door; small window above. Corniced tripartite projecting window to outer right, scroll-flanked round- headed window at 1st floor; gablehead breaking eaves over. Gable to outer left, full-height canted bay, bracketed roof; blind arrowslit in gablehead; attached to later addition to outer left (listed separately).

SE ELEVATION: 2 windows symmetrically disposed at 1st floor; single storey, half-piend roof block projecting at ground.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: gable breaking over stained glass window at centre; round-headed window to left, window at ground; windows barred. Long single storey rubble service block. 4-pane timber sash and case windows; grey slate roof, red tile ridging; coped ashlar ridge stacks, circular cans.
