Description
The Main Lodge at Drumhead is a mid-19th century single-storey, three-bay rectangular lodge with a later porch addition. It is constructed from squared and snecked sandstone, featuring stugged ashlar margins and dressings, a base course, and advanced eaves supported by paired brackets.
The main elevation includes a bargeboarded gabled porch supported by timber columns, with a chevron boarded door and flanking windows. The side elevations each have two windows symmetrically arranged, with a blank oval in the gablehead.
The front elevation features a side-hung timber casement window with a two-pane over plate glass configuration, while the gable has a top-hung window with a two-pane over plate glass design.
The lodge is complemented by ashlar gatepiers topped with depressed pyramidal caps, along with cast-iron curved railings and gates.
