Description

The dovecot at Geilston House in Cardross dates from the early 19th century and has undergone modern restoration. It is a two-stage, square-plan structure currently used as a vegetable store. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar margins and dressings, featuring quoin strips. There is a boarded door on the eastern elevation, with an oculus above it. The roof has a triangular pediment that breaks the eaves and includes flightholes.

The roof is covered with grey slate and has lead flashings, topped with a finialled weathervane.
