Description
The Argyll Arms Hotel, located on Front Street West in Inveraray, was built in 1757 and is a Georgian-style building. It features a long block with a rear wing facing Dalmally Road. The hotel stands three storeys tall and is constructed of fluted ashlar that has been painted. It has a gabled design and slate roofs. There are semi-circular stair towers with semi-conical roofs at the rear and on Dalmally Road. Additionally, there is a two-storey piended extension on The Avenue, which is rendered and harled.
