Description
Jura House in Ardfin, Jura, was built in 1881 and is a Victorian-style building featuring two storeys, a basement, and an attic. The exterior is rendered to resemble ashlar and is topped with a gabled slate roof, which includes piended gablets and dormers. It has moulded ashlar chimneys and two bay windows. A notable feature is a square three-storey tower with a balustraded parapet. At the base of the tower, there is a porch with a round-headed doorway, flanked by dwarf pillars at the jambs, and accessed by balustraded steps. On the east wall, there is a plaque displaying the Campbell arms and motto, inscribed with "J.C./M.C. 1881." To the west, there is a one-storey and basement piended addition, which connects to a row of low offices at the rear.
