Description

Craighouse Parish Church, located on the island of Jura, was built in 1776. It has an oblong shape and features harled walls with a slate roof. The church includes a belfry at the north end and an oculus on the south gable. There are round-headed windows and a gabled porch. An aisle was added in 1842, which contains a vestry, Campbell of Jura's loft, a chimney, and a fore-stair. The interior is plain and was seated in 1842, with a recast in 1922, and it has an open timber roof.
