Description
The building is a fingerpost, likely constructed after 1930, located near Wellford Bridge over the Noran Water at a T-junction. It is a white painted cast iron sign post featuring three arms and lacks any visible maker's mark. The post has a cross-plan design with ropework moulding at the inner angles and is rounded at the top, culminating in a ball-finialled columnar shaft that supports the arms. Each arm displays black painted raised lettering indicating distance, name, and direction with a pointing finger.
