Description

The Fingerpost at the Bridge of Lintrathen is a white painted cast iron sign post, likely installed after 1930. It is located at a T-junction near the separately listed Lintrathen Bridge over the Melgam Burn. The post has a cross-plan design with ropework moulding at the inner angles and a rounded apex topped with a ball finial. It features four arms, each displaying black painted raised lettering that indicates distance, name, and direction with a pointing finger.
