Description
St Margaret's Episcopal Church, built in 1856 by William Ramage, is an Early English style church. It comprises a nave and a north-east tower topped with a stone broach spire. The construction is of pinned rubble with freestone ashlar dressings, featuring simple lancet windows.
The interior is simple, with a scissors roof truss and a two-seat sedilia. A Taylor bell is present. The church remains in ecclesiastical use.
The congregation originated in 1715 when most members followed their minister. References to the church can be found in the Banffshire Journal of August 22nd, 1933, the Press and Journal of November 14th, 1964, and in the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, volume XC, page 149.
