Description
3 High Street in Banff is a mid-18th century, three-storey house with an attic and a three-bay façade. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins, featuring a regular frontage that includes a central entrance. The entrance has a corniced doorpiece supported by slender painted columns. The house has timber sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing, except for a pair of 19th-century canted wallhead dormers. It has a single tall end stack, a slate roof, and pottery ridge tiles.
Inside, there is a dentilled and panelled doorpiece on the ground floor, a narrow staircase, and some narrow raised and fielded panelled window shutters that have survived.
