Description

Late 19th century. Semi-detached symmetrical single storey cottages with attic. Squared and pinned whinstone rubble with contrasting granite/sandstone, ashlar dressings, rubble base course with ashlar band course above, eaves course. Wooden mullions to bipartites.

N ELEVATION: segmental-arched doorways on return elevation of gabled porches, recessed to outer left and right, with overhanging eaves (modern doors). 2 bipartites to main elevation with gabled, slate-hung dormers to attic above, with round-headed windows. Later additions at rear.

Sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing pattern, altered to uPVC windows at No 5. Grey slates to piended roof, gabled at apex. Decorative ridge tiles and finials. Ashlar coped skew dividing cottages, coped central stack. Decorative rainwater goods retained. Flat-roofed modern garage adjoining No 5.
