Description

Early 19th century house, possibly remodelled in 1844, and in late 19th century, possibly by Duncan MacMillan. Former Free Church Manse; 2-storey, 3-bay with later, advanced wing at right angles to E. Harled, with some painted margins.

S ELEVATION: door in modern glazed porch in re-entrant angle; former doorway to centre (now altered as window). 3 windows to ground and 1st floor, window at ground and 1st floor to later piend-roofed wing with cast-iron finial. Small window to attic in W gable. Sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing pattern. Grey slates, ashlar coped skews and stacks, decorative cans.

INTERIOR: altered in late 19th century with repositioned door and stair.

OUTBUILDINGS: piend-roofed range forming courtyard at rear, including stable and carriage house.
