Description

The William Cumine of Auchry Monument is located in the churchyard of Monauhitter and was reconstructed shortly after 1707, with elements from the early 19th century. The monument features a long inscription that is set between relief colonnettes topped with an entablature. It includes sculptured panels that display a coat of arms and a monogram for W.C. above, while below, there are representations of a skeleton and other symbols of mortality.
