Description
The Cother monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, about 10 meters south of the porch of the Church of St. Anne. It commemorates William Cother, who died in 1812, and is made of stone. The monument features a tall urn with a lid, which has a fluted band around its middle and rests on a swept base. There is a roll moulding above a step leading to the weathered top, which has a step and moulded edge. The fluted frieze includes central and end paterae, with the sides framed in a rectangle and a central oval adorned with scrolls in the corners. The base is moulded, and there are later inscriptions added up to the year 1887.
