Description
Ecclesgreig House, located in St Cyrus, was reconstructed in 1844 by Henry Edmund Goodridge from Bath, Somerset. This Jacobean-style building is two stories tall and features a symmetrical southeast front with a three-story central section that includes a two-story rectangular bay, crowstepped gable, and flanking turrets. There are two windows on either side, with the upper windows corbelled out and adorned with shaped gables and slim angle turrets. The northeast entrance front showcases a three-story and attic battlemented porte-cochere tower, while the southwest front has a unique square tower that transitions to a circular shape at the top. The house displays distinctive details such as shaped gablets and tall-spired roofs. The extensive garden terraces are decorated with pierced balustrades featuring finials and numerous garden ornaments.
