Description

Savoch Church, located in Auchnagatt, New Deer, was built in 1834 and features a rectangular plan. It has a birdcage bellcote and a porch at the east gable. The south front includes four round-arched windows and a later organ chamber, while the north front has two windows with original glazing. The church is constructed from whinstone with granite dressings. A gothic hall addition was made to the west in 1897 by William Clarke of Methlick. Inside, there is a U-plan gallery supported by Doric columns, and the rest of the interior was presumably refurbished around 1897.
