Description

The large sundial at Schivas House dates back to the 17th century and was originally located at the town house of the Earls Marischal in Aberdeen. Around 1789, it was moved to the old house of Rubislaw and later transported to Rubislaw Den by Lord Catto. The sundial stands 9 feet 5 inches high and features two hollow dial blocks topped with a ball finial. It is supported by a table that rests on balusters, with a moulded base of the same dimensions and a step.
