Description
Tangland Bridge is a 2-span cast-iron road bridge over the River Ythan, designed by engineer James Abernethy and dated 1864. The bridge features two cross-braced columns at the center that support parallel main girders and a concrete deck, which was originally made of timber. The stone abutments have splayed approaches, and the original cast-iron parapet has been replaced with timber.
