Description
79 High Street in New Pitsligo is a building dated 1803, as indicated by the date on the porch at the north gable. Originally serving as a Dame School, it later became a volunteer armoury. The structure is a single-storey and attic house with two windows and a central door, built from squared granite. It features coped chimneys, lacks skews, and has two canted dormers. Attached to the main building is a lower, three-window, single-storey school wing, which is now a shop, and a two-window piended northwest wing that is positioned at right angles to the main structure.
