Description

Waddies Cottage is an early 19th-century single-storey, three-bay vernacular cottage featuring original openings. The exterior is finished with whitewash or thin render over a rubble base, and it has slate stone cills.

On the northwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a boarded timber door at the center flanked by small, widely spaced, deep-set windows. The southwest elevation presents a plain gabled facade, while the southeast elevation has a tiny deep-set window located close to the eaves on the outer left. The northeast elevation is a blank gable, with possible evidence of a blocked window high up to the right.

The cottage features a four-pane glazing pattern in its timber casement windows. The roof is covered with corrugated iron over thatch, and there are coped brick gablehead stacks. Inside, the walls are lined with timber, and there is a fireplace.
