Description
49 Union Street in Rosehearty is an early 19th-century pair of two-storey houses with a dormerless attic and some warehouse accommodation. The street-facing side features squared rubble, while the flanks are harl pointed with tooled rubble dressings. Each house has a central entrance flanked by windows, with regular fenestration on the first floor. There is a blocked first-floor and attic window in the southeast gable. Some of the first-floor windows still have 12-pane glazing, while the others have 2-pane glazing. The houses have coped end and ridge stacks, which have been renewed in brick, and the southeast side has a corrugated asbestos roof, while the northwest side has a slate roof.
At the rear, there is a wide ground floor entrance leading to a first floor accessed by a forestair. The rear service court is enclosed by a rubble wall.
