16 Union Street, Rosehearty

16 Union Street in Rosehearty is a building dated 1763, although it may be older. It is a two-storey structure with a square walled enclosure formed by rubble walls from a roofless mansion. The building has six bays facing Union Street and four bays facing Bank Lane. There is a near-central entrance on Union Street, along with several later enlarged entrances. A re-used tooled granite pediment, also dated 1763, has been inserted into the Union Street elevation.

The interior is heavily overgrown with vegetation.

Adjacent to this is 2 The Square, a mid-19th century warehouse that was once part of The Jam and later converted into a net factory. This tall, rectangular, three-storey building has four bays and features a later single-storey wing facing The Square. The original windows on the ground and first floors of the west elevation have been enlarged, with brick jambs and metal horizontal glazing, while the second-floor windows on the longer elevations are all blocked. A later brick stack is located at the southwest angle, and the building has a slate roof.
