Description

Circa 1865. Single storey, 3-bay cottage with box bed and adjoining byre (now garage). Whitewashed rubble with lime mortar, cottage apparently rasied slightly at wallhead. Deep set openings.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Timber door to centre with windows in flanking bays; slightly lower byre to right with boarded timber door.

NW ELEVATION: gabled elevation (possibly raised) with window in bay to right.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: tiny window to centre.

SE (BYRE) ELEVATION: gabled elevation altered to garage door. 12-pane glazing pattern in modern replacement timber windows. Grey slate with stone ridge and concrete skews. Coped brick gablehead stacks with cans.

INTERIOR: boarded timber ceilings; box bed and stone fireplace with bracketed timber mantelpiece and small cast-iron range in room to W; similar fireplace with segmental cast-iron inset to E room.
