Description
Cobairdy is a house dating from approximately 1855 or 1860, built in a late Georgian Italianate style. The house is harled with margins and has a piend roof. The south front has six windows and a two-storey section in the centre that projects forward with a pediment and a semi-circular bay window on the ground floor. The east elevation is asymmetrical. A two-storey porch with quoins and a pedimented gable features a broad eave and an arched doorpiece with a fanlight. The house bears resemblance to an earlier and larger building called Knockleith in Auchterless Parish, which dates from 1864. The statutory address is Cobairdy House.
