Description
Lessendrum Home Farm is a mid-19th century single-storey, five-bay courtyard steading. It features a centrally located two-stage pavilion-roofed castellated dovecot pend entrance, balanced by gabled bays on either side. The building is constructed of squared and snecked rubble, accented with contrasting ashlar dressings. It has segmentally headed cart arches and stone mullions.
The west elevation is symmetrical, with the entrance pend located in the central bay. A modern timber porch at the first stage obscures the cart arch pend entrance, while there is a tripartite opening at the second stage with a small circular opening above. The flanking bays each contain three irregular window openings, and there is an additional outshot porch on the left. The outer gabled bays each feature a bipartite window. To the right, there is a free-standing three-bay piended cottage, and to the left, a further gable of a later timber bay.
The windows are timber sash and case, featuring multi-pane glazing patterns. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the eaves overhang with plain bargeboarding.
