Description
St Matthew's Episcopal Church in Oldmeldrum was built in 1863 by the architects Ross and Joass. This Gothic-style church features pinned granite and chequered voussoirs, along with freestone geometrical tracery. The nave measures 50 feet by 25 feet, and the chancel is 26 feet by 16 feet, which includes a three-seat sedilia and collar-braced roofs. The stained glass windows were made by Hardman. Inside, there is an elaborate Arts and Crafts monument dedicated to Beauchamp Colclough Urquhart of Meldrum, created in 1898.
